Chief Aviation Officer, Aeroporti di Roma (ADR)

Ivan graduated in Transportation Engineering from the University of Padova and earned the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Management at the ESMT – European School of Management and Technology in Berlin.

He has been working in the air transport industry in the last 23 years. Initially active as transportation consultant for road and rail infrastructures, he made his first aviation experiences at Aviano Air Base as project manager of the US Air Force in the Aviano 2000 Development Program.

He then joined Aeroporto di Bologna SpA in 2001, the company that manages Bologna Airport, where he was employed as Airport Infrastructures Manager.

In 2006 he moved to SAGAT SpA, the operator of Turin Airport, as Vice President Operations.

In 2009, he became the Director General Operations and Accountable Manager of Air Dolomiti, the Italian subsidiary airline of the Lufthansa Group, a position that he held until May 2015.

In June 2015 he moved to Aeroporti di Roma SpA where he was appointed as Airport Management Executive Vice President. In that position he has also held the role of Accountable Manager for Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino airports according to the EASA regulations, and he served as Chairman of ADR TEL, the telecom & ICT subsidiary of Aeroporti di Roma, and ADR Security, provider of aviation security services to the Aeroporti di Roma Group.

Since May 2021 he leads the Aviation Business Unit with P&L responsibilities on the whole aeronautical business of the Company.

Ivan is also the Chairman of UrbanV SpA, a company dedicated to the development of vertiports for the new Advanced Air Mobility sector, and Board member of ADR Ventures SpA.
