Franco Caraffi is the Marine Systems Director of the Costa Group. He joined Costa Crociere in 1998.After covering several positions inside the IT organization in various areas such as Reservation Systems, On Board System and Web, he was appointed to the new role in the Marine sector in 2012. Here Caraffi was responsible for the creation of the Neptune platform for nautical data, eMustering and on board access controls, fuel procurement and crisis management tools. He further works on evolving the Neptune platform for engine efficiency and on extending the Neptune world to energy monitoring. After having implemented the platform for the Costa Group, he is also leading the roll-out of the Neptune solution across the entire Carnival Corporation.
